Q: Who is DRs Secret suited for?
DRs Secret is suitable for all skin types (including European skin type) for both males and females. It is recommended to be used from 18 years old onwards. For below 18 years old, we recommend not to use T3 Skinlight and T4 Skinrecon.
Our basic skin care (#1 - #5) is recommended for starters. In addition, depending on your skin condition, you can choose from our enhancement series (#6 - #10) to treat your skin.
Q: What Skin Reactions will I expect after using DR’s Secret and what should I do?
Depending on your skin condition, you will experience different reactions due to the removal of dead skin cells from underneath the skin is revealed on the surface area. Do continue application during this process.

Q: What is the difference between #3 Skinlight and #4 Skinrecon as compared to T3 Skinlight and T4 Skinrecon?
Basically, #3 Skinlight contains Hydroquinone and T3 Skinlight does not contain hydroquinone.
Hydroquinone is a bleaching agent and under the new FDA regulations, the ingredient has been removed and replaced with the new DRs Secret Skinlight T3.
Note: The New T Series is an improved version of the old series and you will not experience as much reactions from your skin during the initial period as the process is being slowed down.
T3 Skinlight has the same whitening effect as the old Skinlight. However, it has been enriched with renewal properties to aid the renewal process. In conclusion, T3 Skinlight is now stronger than T4 Skinrecon.
For T4, it has been toned down. It aids T3 in the renewal process. The effects of T4 has been toned down, however it still performs the same functions as the old Skinrecon.
It is best to mix T3 and T4 together before application for the desirable results.

Q: Does Skinlight contain Hydroquinone?
The previous old skinlight #3 does contain hydroquinone. It is possible to continue using the old skinlight.
The new Skinlight T3 has no hydroquinone, due to new FDA government regulations, hydroquinone is banned in off the shelf skin care products.
Q. How long does it take to see results?
After using DR’s Secret (1 set) for around 30 - 90 days, you will be expected to see 50% improvement in your skin. When you complete 2 sets of DR’s Secret, there is could be up to 80% improvement in your skin. For those who are over 40 years of age or have serious skin problems, we recommend continuous usage to maintain your desired complexion.
Q: I have sensitive skin, can i use DR’s Secret?
A: Yes, you can use DR’s Secret. It is made from natural ingredients and it is suitable for all skin types.
Q: I have been using DR’s Secret for two weeks and i am experiencing reddish spots… help!
A: In the initial stages of applying DR’s Secret, the impurities and dead skin cells are being pushed out of the skin from within, allowing new skin cells to grow. The reactions will last for approximately a month, do apply T3 Skinlight (more: faster reactions less: slower reaction) at the mean time.
Q. Can I apply DR’s Secret around or near eye area?
It is advisable to avoid applying at the corners of your eyes, nose and mouth as the skin in these areas are thinner and may peel off easily.
Q. Why is it not advisable to use make-up when using DR’s Secret?
Make up contains chemical substances that might harm the skin. Substances like wax and oil in cosmetics will slow down the process of re-construction and re-conditioning. It is advisable to apply a layer of Sunscreen over the skin to prevent make up from seeping into the skin.
Q: I got to know about Dr Secret’s skincare from a friend and colleague. i noticed that for a woman who is in her Mid 40’s, her skin was exceptionally dewy and moist, fair and unblemished. There was no sign of freckles or blemishes expected of a woman in her mid 40’s. She told me that she is using Dr Secret’s skincare. I would like to know more.
A: From your friend’s complexion, she has probably been using DR’s Secret for a couple of years. She looks younger her age as DR’s Secret contains anti aging ingredients. As it works from within, it brings out her skin’s natural glow.

Q: Can DR Secret be used during pregnancy?
DR Secret can be used during pregnancy as it is an external skin care product. However, please consult your doctor for advice as well.

A blackhead is a yellow or blackish bump or plug on the skin. Contrary to the common belief that it is caused by poor hygiene, blackheads are caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland’s duct. It is inevitable to develop wrinkles as we age. We can only do so much to slow down the process. Aged skin causes wrinkles since they lack the flexibility of the cells found in younger skin. This causes it to sag and wrinkle.There are several ways to prevent skin aging through prevention and treatment.

Why does pigmentation occur?
Uneven pigmentation affects most people, regardless of ethnic background or skin color. Skin may either appear lighter or darker than normal; there may be blotchy, uneven areas, patches of brown to gray discoloration or freckling. Skin pigmentation disorders occur because the body produces either too much or too little melanin. Melanin is the pigment produced by melanocyte cells. It is triggered by an enzyme called tyrosinase, which creates the color of skin, eyes, and hair shades.
Melanin has two major forms that combine to create varying skin tones. Eumelanin produces a range of brown skin and hair color, while pheomelanin imparts a yellow to reddish hue.
Melanin provides some amount of sun protection for the skin by absorbing ultraviolet light. Darker skin colors are less susceptible to sunburn and the overall effects of sun damage.
Aside from sun exposure and hormones, hyperpigmentation can be caused by skin damage, such as remnants of blemishes, wounds or rashes. This is especially true for those with darker skin tones.
The most typical cause of darkened areas of skin, brown spots or areas of discoloration is unprotected sun exposure. Once incorrectly referred to as liver spots, these pigment problems are not connected with the liver.
Benefits of Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a product used to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays, to avoid damage and/or darkening of the skin. Some sunscreens can be used to lighten the skin, too. Higher SPFs contain greater quantities of the UVA-protecting ingredients titanium dioxide, zinc oxide or avobenzone.
DR’s Secret Sunscreen SPF 25 helps prevent premature skin ageing and defend complexion against unwanted pigmentation by providing skin protection against the damaging effects of sun UVA/UVB rays. This moisturising sunscreen also hydrates the skin to enhance cell renewal.
Skin lightening Ingredients - How it works
Hydroquinone is a strong inhibitor of melanin production, meaning that it prevents skin from making the substance responsible for skin color. Hydroquinone does not bleach the skin, and can only disrupt the synthesis and production of melanin hyperpigmentation. It has been banned in some countries because of fears of a cancer risk. Hence, the new DR’s Secret Skinlight T3 does not contain Hydroquinone.
DR’s Secret Skinlight T3 uses Kojic acid in its formulation. Kojic acid is a by-product in the fermentation process of malting rice for use in the manufacturing of sake, the Japanese rice wine. Research shows kojic acid to be effective for inhibiting melanin production.
Another ingredient used is Arbutin. Arbutin is derived from the leaves of bearberry, cranberry, mulberry or blueberry shrubs, and also is present in most types of pears. It can have melanin-inhibiting properties.
